Happy holidays!  For Thanksgiving, my family left Thanksgiving morning to go to my grandparent's farm for dinner.  Then we stayed Friday, and came home Saturday.

Yesterday we started decorating for Christmas.  We got lights, stockings, the tree, and most of its ornaments up.  We're going to stay here for Christmas and Sarah is going to come.

For New Years, we're going to my other grandparent's house.  I can't believe it will already be 2009!

My dad left to go to Chile on Sunday for a business trip.  He's staying for a week.

I have classes today, so I better finish getting ready!  I'll try to write sooner next time.

Sorry I didn't write sooner!  I haven't gotten a chance to write for a while.  I'll start with my birthday in October.  I got money, a dog agility loop for Biscuit, slippers, a Christmas watch, an opal necklace, a calico critters bunk bed, and a gift card to Amazon (I got two DVD's with it - Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and Hoodwinked). 

On Thursday I had softball practice - and sprained my ankle.  On Saturday was the last game, and so I could only play in the outfield and I couldn't bat because I couldn't run the bases.  But WE WON!!  We had never won before, and this was our last game, so we finished well.  Also on Saturday I was supposed to go bowling with my family for my birthday, but we didn't because I couldn't walk very well, and especially not with a big heavy ball.  But we're going to go sometime.

On Sunday we had normal church and AWANA.  I forgot to say earlier that the day after my birthday, my mom, Walter, and I went to Mt. Vernon for the morning.  It was really cool.  On Tuesday and today I had classes.  On Wednesday in the morning I had an orthodontist appointment, and in the afternoon I had piano lesson.  I have to go feed Biscuit now.  I'll try to write sooner next time!

Nothing really exciting has been happening lately, but my birthday is in twelve days!  I'm not going to have a party, but my family is just going to go bowling or something fun like that.

Sorry it took me so long to update...

In September I went to Maine with my dad for a canoe trip.  It was really cool.  During that same weekend my mom, Amy, and Walter went to NC for grandma's 85th birthday party.  Here are the pictures from Maine...

This morning I had classes - Spanish and VA history.  Then I came home and ate lunch.  Then my mom went to the store.  Then Amy had viola lesson.  Then I had softball practice - just I didn't go because we forgot I had it.  It kind of stinks, though, because that's my only practice this week.  Oh well!

To look on the bright side of things.....tomorrow my friend from Japan is coming!  She's going to spend the night, then watch my softball game tomorrow morning.  That'll be really fun.

Beach house.......

So Sarah drove Amy, Walter, and me to our grandparents' house in NC on Thursday.  We spent Friday in NC, and late Friday night my mom and dad came.  On Saturday morning we left for Myrtle Beach, SC in my mom and dad's van, and left Sarah's car at my grandparents' house in NC.

We got there at about 2:30 pm.  Mama went to Costco to get dinner and Sarah's birthday cake.  Dinner was party sandwiches and snacky foods.  There were more than twenty people there, and during the whole week we ate three whole Costco cakes and one Sam's cake.

We had karaoke night, so that was fun.  I sang Think of Me and Phantom of the Opera with Amy, I Dreamed a Dream with Uncle David, and Castle on a Cloud by myself.  Then we all sang some patriotic songs.  Then the we sang lots of other songs.  Then the last song was YMCA.

We also had bingo night, and I won two pens and a ring.  It was really fun.  Last year I was the last person to get bingo.  Actually, I didn't even get it.  Someone else got bingo for me (because like five other people were playing for me, plus myself).

Oh yeah, and the treasure hunt was really fun, too.  We also went mini golfing.  I only went once, and I didn't really like it.  One day it rained, so the waves were really big.  That was cool.  And Uncle David rented a kayak, and that was fun.

Then we left and my family went to my other grandparents' house, and Sarah got her car and drove home a couple days later.  Everyone except Walter and Sarah went back to my house.  My mom picked Walter up later that week.
